Services for Golda Elane Brister Holloway, of Jayess, are 2 p.m.Friday, Sept. 4, at Calvary United Pentecostal Church with burialin Enon Cemetery. The Rev. Ray Bowling will officiate. Jones FamilyFuneral Services is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Thursday from 5 p.m. until 2 p.m. Friday at thechurch.
Mrs. Holloway, 67, died Sept. 2, 2009, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center in McComb. She was born on Aug. 5, 1942, toEmil and Carrie C. Brister.
She married Lavon Holloway on Dec. 1, 1962. She was employed atMovie Star and Magnolia Garment and was also a retired homemaker.She loved chickens, collecting cookbooks, dishes, whatnots,traveling to flea markets and getting mail. She especially lovedtaking care of her grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and a brother, HarryGene Brister.
Survivors are her husband of 47 years, Lavon Holloway, her threechildren, Julie Ann Holloway, Milton Holloway and wife, Nancy, andAlice Smith and husband, Tim, all of Jayess; a brother, Willie PaulBrister, of Jayess; her sisters, Joyce Edenfield, of Jayess, andBonnie Cullom and husband, Curtis, of Flowood; her three grandsons,Cory Murray, of Vacherie, La., and William and Byron Smith, ofJayess; her six other sisters-in-law and four brothers-in-law; anda host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Milton Holloway, David Brister, ShaneBrister, Greg Cullom, Shannon Lambert, Tommy Joe Fuller and BradPope and Will Crowell.
