Services for Annie Rae Wallace, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Monday, Feb. 16, at Bethel United Methodist Church with burial inthe church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.
Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the church.
Mrs. Wallace, 83, died Feb. 13, 2009.
She was best known for her talents in quilting and crocheting.As owners and operators of Wallace Grocery, a small country storeon Highway 84 west of Brookhaven, she and her husband spent manyhours there supplying the needs of the community around them.
While he spent many hours working in his tire shop, she spenther time in the rocker crocheting and quilting. Many of herprojects have been left behind for others to enjoy.
She will be welcomed to her new home in Heaven by her familymembers who have preceded her in death, including her husband of 68years, Climon A. Wallace; an infant daughter, Sandra Ella; herparents, Ben and Ever Thornton; her grandsons, Rodney and ScottCrosby and William Heath Jones; four brothers; two sisters; and herson-in-law, Wilmer Crosby.
Survivors are her children, Shirley Wallace Crosby, of Vidalia,La., Nell Wallace Jones and husband, Sonny, of Bolton, PollyWallace Phillips and husband, Jimmy, of Crystal Springs, Climon E.Wallace and wife, Deborah, of Brookhaven, Alice Wallace Hall andhusband, Quincy, of Brookhaven, and Raymond A. Wallace, ofBrookhaven; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and severalnieces and nephews.
Although our hearts are sad, we know that she is once again withour dad that she has missed so very much.
