Services for Evelyn Juanita “Tootie” Wilbert Banks, ofBrookhaven, are 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, at Avery Chapel AMEChurch in Brookhaven with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Visitation is Friday from 1 until 6 p.m. at WilliamsMortuary.
Mrs. Banks, 59, died Jan. 23, 2009, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter in Brookhaven. She was born in Lincoln County on Sept. 25,1949, to Edward Wilbert Sr. and Alberta Buie Wilbert.
She was a 1967 graduate of Alexander High School. She wasretired. She was a member of Avery Chapel AME Church.
Preceding her in death were her mother; her sisters, DorothyJean Wilbert; and her brother, Billy Wayne Wilbert.
Survivors are her father, Edward Wilbert Sr., of Brookhaven; hersons, Kevin Wilbert and wife, Vanessa, of Jackson, and DedricBanks, of Brookhaven; her daughters, Daphne “San” Wilbert, ofBrookhaven, and LaTonya Banks, of Brookhaven; a sister, MaryGrayer, of Brookhaven; her brothers, Edward “Sonny” Wilbert Jr., ofNashville, Tenn., Marvin “Bo” Wilbert and wife, Cynthia, of Dallas,Texas, Van Wilbert and wife, Barbara, of Jackson, Kenny Ray Wilbertand Robert “Bob” Wilbert and wife, Linda “Teal”, all of Brookhaven;her 11 grandchildren; a devoted sister-in-law, Cheryl Banks, ofBrookhaven; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives andfriends.
