Sidney Wayne Davis
Services for Sidney Wayne Davis, of Sulligent, Ala., were 2 p.m.Friday, Jan. 9, at Norwood Funeral Home Chapel in Sulligent withburial in the Gilmer Edition of the Sulligent City Cemetery.
Mr. Davis, 59, died Jan. 7, 2009, as a result of an automobileaccident. He was born in Jackson to the Rev. Purser Smith Davis andWilda Gandy Davis.
He was a University of Southern Mississippi graduate and workedin radio and journalism for many years. He was a member ofSulligent First Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death was his father.
Survivors are his mother; a brother, Tony Davis, of Sulligent;and several nieces and nephews.
Thelma Alice Allred Stewart
Services for Thelma Alice Allred Stewart, of Bogue Chitto, are11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, at Riverwood Family Funeral ServiceChapel with burial in Mt. Olive Church of Christ Cemetery. Bro.Wendell Davis will officiate.
Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.
Mrs. Stewart, 81, died Jan. 19, 2009, at her residence. She wasborn on Jan. 31, 1927, to Grafton Allred and Beatrice ThetfordAllred.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Loyd Hall HomemakersClub. She was a member of Mt. Olive Church of Christ.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband,Charles Stewart.
Survivors are a son, Russell “Rusty” Bennie Stewart and wife,Joan, of Grenada; a daughter, Alice Rebecca “Becky” Burt andhusband, Dale, of Brookhaven; her sisters, Beryl Beatrice “B.B.”Watts and Myrtle Josie McGee, both of Brookhaven; hersisters-in-law, Louise Cato, Lucille Stewart and Peggy Smith; abrother-in-law, Carroll Watts; her five grandchildren, Brad Burtand wife, Jane, of Brookhaven, Allison Burt Graham and husband,Doug, of Philadelphia, Camille, Ben and Samuel Stewart, of Grenada;her five great-grandchildren, Nikki Burt, Abigail Graham, JakeSmith, Trevor and Hannah Davis; and a host of nieces andnephews.
Pallbearers are Shane Stewart, Mark Mathis, Gerald McGee, DannyWatts, Danny Ray Boyd and Darryl Jordan.
Honorary pallbearers are Brad Burt, Samuel Stewart, Jake Smith,Trevor Davis and Doug Graham.
Music will be provided by Joyce Wilson.

Minnie Mae Ezelle White
Graveside services for Minnie Mae Ezelle White, of Hearn, Texas,and formerly of Brookhaven, were 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, atMission Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Wesson. Harrigill FuneralHome were in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. White, 93, died Jan. 16, 2009, in Hearn. She was born onNov. 17, 1915, to Thomas Matha Ezelle and Ada Jane McDavid.
She was a homemaker.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, WillLaFayette White; an infant son, Thomas Andrew White, a brother,Homer Ezelle; a sister, Maudie Mae Robertson; a grandson, Joe A.Hamler Jr.; and a great-grandson, James Gossett Jr.
Survivors are a son, Frank Eugene White and wife, Linda, ofHearn; a daughter, Loretta W. Hamler and husband, Joe, ofMonticello; a sister-in-law and special friend, Nell Ezelle, ofBrookhaven; her seven grandchildren; her six great-grandchildren;and a great-great-grandchild.
