Larry Mitchell Adams
Larry Mitchell Adams, 64, of Bogue Chitto, a retiree of PackardElectric, died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008, at Mississippi BaptistMedical Center in Jackson. Visitation is Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008,from 10 a.m. until service time at Colonial Chapel in Mendenhall.Funeral services are 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008, at ColonialChapel in Mendenhall with burial in the Clearview Baptist ChurchCemetery.
Survivors include: his wife, Kathy Adams, a son, Frank Adams, a daughter, Deborah and Pat Little; his stepsons, Lee and Nicki Ramshur, Luke and Miranda Ramshur, and Lance and Diane Ramshur; his grandchildren, Melanie and husband, Eric Bridges, Heather Little,Mitch Little, Brooklyn Ramshur, London Ramshur, Chance Ramshur; his great-grandchildren, John Michael Bridges and Adin Bridges.
Preceded in death by his parents; Charlie Adams and EarlinePrice Adams Griffith; his stepfather, Frank Millis; and a son,Larry Allen Adams.
Thomas James Mullen
Services for Thomas James Mullen, of Hazlehurst, are 2:30 p.m.Tuesday, Dec. 23, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel with burial in Stronghope Baptist Church Cemetery in Wesson.
Visitation is Tuesday from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Allen, 43, died Dec. 21, 2008, at Mississippi BaptistMedical Center in Jackson. He was born on Sept. 30, 1965, to JamesC. Mullen and Charlotte Blackmon Mullen.
He was retired from Forestry Suppliers in Jackson. He was a member of Stronghope Baptist Church in Wesson.
Preceding him in death was his mother, Charlotte BlackmonMullen.
Survivors are his father; a brother, Reggie Dale Mullen, of Hazlehurst, and a number of other relatives.
Courtney Lynn Owen
Graveside services for Courtney Lynn Owen, of Meadville, were 11a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, at O’Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Meadville. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
The infant died Dec. 19, 2008, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter in Brookhaven. She was born on Dec. 19, 2008, to Frank”Vince” Owen Sr. and Callie Wroten Owen.
Preceding her in death were her grandparents, James E. Wroten Sr. and Carolyn Hoover.
Survivors are her parents; her brothers, Frank, Jeremy andJoshua Owen; her sisters, Amber and Ashley Owen; and her grandparents, Betty and Gary Forman, Frank and Linda Owen; JerrieSue Carter; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Noah Braden Paniaqua
Noah Braden Paniaqua, 5 months, died Dec. 20, 2008, at The NewOrleans Children’s Hospital.
Noah was born on July 31, 2008, in McComb to Joel and Chelsea Paniaqua.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Eva E. Paniaqua; an uncle, Andy Paniaqua; and his maternal great-grandparents, Clifton and Zilpha Hudson.
Survivors include his parents; his paternal grandfather, Lino Paniaqua, of Altus, Okla.; his maternal grandparents, Billy andJoda Hudson, of McComb; his maternal great-grandparents, Mr. andMrs. Reid Estess Jr., of Osyka, and Billy JoAnn Estess, ofKentwood, La.; his paternal great-grandmother, Delores Estraca, ofOklahoma; his four brothers, Anthony David DeShano, of Michigan,Nathaniel Patrick, of Texas, Brett Michael Paniaqua, of Texas,Gabriel Paniaqua, of McComb; his seven aunts, Tchona Alden Hudson,of McComb, Aunt Desiree, Linda Martinez, Delia Montes, Vera Booker,Rachel Morgan, Lisa Strickland; an uncle, Joshua Ryan Thibodeaux,of Brookhaven; and a cousin, Brody Forrest Thibodeaux, ofBrookhaven.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening at Jones Family FuneralServices from 3 p.m. until time of services at 5 p.m. at the JonesChapel. The Rev. Dave Hartson will officiate.
Gary Lane Smith
Services for Gary Lane Smith, of North Adams, Mass., formerly of Bogue Chitto, were 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, at Community FamilyFuneral Services Chapel in Brookhaven with burial in Johnson GroveChurch of Christ Cemetery in Bogue Chitto.
Mr. Smith, 35, died Dec. 16, 2008, in Bennington, Vt. He was born in McComb on Feb. 4, 1973, to Roger Smith and Patsy Clark Lofton.
He was a 1991 graduate of Loyd Star Attendance Center. He worked in retail management at Phillip Van Heusen Corporation’s G.H. Bass division for three years.
Preceding him in death were his stepfather, Clayton Buster Lofton; and his maternal grandparents, Claude Clark and Ford Lofton; and paternal grandparents, Cammie and Velma Smith.
Survivors are his parents, Roger Smith, of Tylertown, and PatsyClark Lofton, of McCall Creek; his grandmother, Mary M. Clark, ofRuth; his brothers, Gregg Smith, of Bogue Chitto, and Scott Smith,of Ruth; his sisters, Glenda Johnson, of Bogue Chitto, MichelleBlackburn, of Brookhaven, Anna Smith, of Tylertown, and Maddie Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Felix Nelson ‘Chimp’ Thompson
Services for Felix Nelson “Chimp” Thompson, of Monticello, are 2p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 24, at Wellman Baptist Church in Brookhaven with burial in the church cemetery. Riverwood Family FuneralService is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the church.
Mr. Thompson, 62, died Dec. 21, 2008, at his residence. He was born on April 14, 1946, to Johnny Alexander Thompson and Para LeeSmith Thompson.
He was a retired field worker. He was a member of MonticelloPentecostal Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, BuddyThompson, Johnny Roy Thompson and his infant brother, RobertThompson; his sisters, Geneva Cockerham and Ruby Watts.
