Mary Elizabeth Blue

Services for Mary Elizabeth Blue, of Brookhaven, were 11 a.m.Monday, Dec. 8, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel withburial in Rosehill Cemetery in Brookhaven.

Miss Blue, 93, died Dec. 6, 2008, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter in Brookhaven. She was born on March 29, 1915, to SmylieBlue and Lou Ada Lamb Blue.

She was a retired secretary. She was a member of Faith PresbyterianChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her two brothers; and herthree sisters.

Survivors are her three cousins; and her two great-nieces.

James Andrew ‘Andy’ Hutson

Services for James Andrew “Andy” Hutson, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Tuesday, Dec. 9, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel withburial in the Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday from 9 until 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Hutson, 57, died Dec. 6, 2008, at his residence. He was born onFeb. 28, 1951, to Clarence Hutson and Frieda George Hutson.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Brookhaven.

Preceding him in death was his father.

Survivors are his mother, Frieda George Hutson; a sister, TeresaAnn “T.A.” Boyd, of Brookhaven; and his two nephews, Richard WilsonBoyd, of Afghanistan, and Ryan Hutson Boyd, of Oxford.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church buildingfund.

John Wayne Jackson

Services for John Wayne Jackson, of Manassas, Va., are 11 a.m.Tuesday, Dec. 9, at Hamburg Baptist Church in Hamburg with burialin Stampley Cemetery. Marshall Funeral Home in Brookhaven is incharge of arrangements.

Visitation is Monday from 7 until 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 until11 a.m. at the church.

Mr. Jackson, 59, died Dec. 1, 2008, at his residence. He was bornin Adams County on Jan. 4, 1949, to James Riley and Flora AnnJackson.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and a brother, J.R.Jackson.

Survivors are his wife, Jacqueline Jackson, of Manassas; adaughter, Maria Jackson, of Manassas; a son, John W. Jackson II, ofManassas; a sister, Betty Aldridge, of Hamburg; a brother, BobJackson, of Texas; and a host of other relatives and friends.

John Whitaker

Services for John Whitaker, of Woodville, were 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec.7, at Woodville United Methodist Church with burial in the WhitakerFamily Cemetery in Woodville. Riverwood Family Funeral Service isin charge of arrangements.

Mr. Whitaker, 83, died Dec. 4, 2008, at Lane Memorial Hospital inZachary, La. He was born on Jan. 12, 1925, to John Whitaker Sr. andMary Woods Whitaker.

He was a farmer. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Koreanconflict and World War II. He was a member of Woodville UnitedMethodist Church. He was also a member of the Louisiana PecanGrowers Association, the Mississippi Farm Bureau Association andthe Louisiana Farm Bureau Association.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are a son, James Whitaker, of DeFuniak Springs, Fla.; adaughter, Wanda Whitaker, of Washougal, Wash.; a brother, RichardWhitaker, of Woodville; and a sister, Antoinette Jackson, of Bains,La.; and his five grandchildren.
