Rose Marie “Mickey” Robinson Blakely

Services for Rose Marie “Mickey” Robinson Blakely, ofBrookhaven, are 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at St. James M.B.Church with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from 1 until 7 p.m. with family presentfrom 6 until 7 p.m. at Williams Mortuary.

Mrs. Blakely, 70, died Sept. 21, 2008, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center in McComb. She was born in Lincoln Countyon March 15, 1938, to Tom Robinson and Velma Banks Robinson.

She was retired. She was a member of St. James M.B. Church.

Preceding her in death were her father; a devoted companion,Roland B. Ralph Jr.; her sisters, Shelley Bland and JeanetteQuarles; a brother, Tom Robinson Jr.; a daughter, Patricia “Pat”McCorley; and a son, Lorenzo “Neil” Robinson.

Survivors are her mother, Velma Banks Robinson, of Brookhaven;her sons, the Rev. Wallace Robinson and wife, Ruby, of Moss Point,and Tyrone Robinson, of Pascagoula; her daughters, Sandra Smith andhusband, Walter, of Brookhaven, and Tangie Bonds and husband, Tony,of Elizabeth City, N.C.; a brother, Charlie Frank Robinson andwife, Betty, of Wesson; her sisters, Ada Joe McCall and husband,Ozzie, of Theodore, Ala.; her adopted daughters, Vickie Johnson andJessie Lee Cannon, both of Brookhaven, her 12 grandchildren; her 12great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a great aunt, HalsieWatts, of Brookhaven; her three devoted friends, Velma Gayten,Hazel Franklin and Alberta Caston; and a host of nieces, nephews,other relatives and friends.

Earlene Hackett

Services for Earlene Hackett, of Summit, are 2 p.m. Saturday,Sept. 27, at Mt. Zion M.B. Church in Bogue Chitto with burial inthe church cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from 2 until 8 p.m. at R.E. Tyler FuneralHome.

Mrs. Hackett, 79, died Sept. 21, 2008, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center in McComb. She was born in Lincoln Countyon April 11, 1929, to Eli Robinson and Ima Robinson.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Mt. Zion M.B.Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents, a son, Eddie Hackett;her brothers, Levi Harvey and Johnson Fairman; and her sisters,Pearline Robinson and Evelyn Tillman.

Survivors are her husband, Esau Hackett, of Summit; her sons,Willie Hackett, Curtis Hackett, both of Summit, Jimmy Hackett, ofAllen, Texas, Maurice Hackett, of Texas, Levell Hackett, of Joplin,Mo., and Antonio Hackett, of Tulsa, Okla.; her daughters, CarishanaBrown, of McComb, Endora Potter, of Cleveland, Ohio, Erma Gordon,of McComb, Martha Tillman, of Summit, Emma Crossley, of Plano,Texas, and Patricia Hisser, of Summit; a brother, Ledell Robinson,of Bogue Chitto; her 30 grandchildren; her 17 great-grandchildren;and her 16 great-great-grandchildren.

Charlie Rushing

Services for Charlie Rushing, of Brookhaven, were 11 a.m.Thursday, Sept. 25, at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drivewith burial in Ramah Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Rushing, 61, died Sept. 23, 2008, at his residence. He wasborn in Pascagoula on July 10, 1947, to Eugene H. Rushing andStella Rushing.

He was a pipe fitter. He was a member of New Prospect BaptistChurch.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are a brother, Roy Rushing, of Vidalia, La.; and hissisters, Mildred McCaffrey, of Bogue Chitto, and Helen Barlow, ofHurley.
