Willie D. Ard Jr.
Services for Willie D. Ard Jr., of Brookhaven, are 5 p.m.Wednesday, Aug. 27, at St. Paul Baptist Church in Silver Creek withburial in Pen Oak Cemetery in Silver Creek.
Visitation is Tuesday from 1 until 6 p.m. at R.E. Tyler FuneralHome in Brookhaven.
Mr. Ard, 25, died Aug. 20, 2008, at 57 Cloverdale in Brookhaven.He was born in Los Angeles on June 7, 1983, to William D. Ard Sr.and Gladys Peyton Magee.
He was a truck driver for Warner Enterprises.
Preceding him in death was his father.
Survivors are his mother, Gladys Peyton Magee, of Monticello;his sons, William D. Ard III and Desean Ard, both of Brookhaven;his brothers, Marion Peyton, of Gulfport, Christopher D. Peyton, ofJackson, Adrian Ard, of Monticello, and Eric Hobbs, of SilverCreek; his sisters, Erica Hobbs, of Madison, Alecia Hobbs, ofMendenhall, Sheree Hobbs, of Prentiss, and Tina Buckley, of LosAngeles.
Robert ‘Bob’ Leslie Pipkin
Services for Robert “Bob” Leslie Pipkin, of Bay Minette, Ala.,are 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, at Norris Funeral Home Chapel in BayMinette with burial in Bay Minette Cemetery.
Visitation is Tuesday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the funeralhome.
Mr. Pipkin, 81, died Aug. 22, 2008, at his residence. He wasborn in Stockton, Ala.
He was a retired forester with the International Paper Companyand was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the World WarII.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Jeannine PresleyPipkin.
Survivors are his sons, Roy Cain and wife, Stacey, of Jesup,Ga., and Wayne Cain, of Bay Minette; a brother, Sam Pipkin, ofFairhope, Ala.; a sister, Mamie Lou Hughes, of San Marcus, Texas;and his two grandchildren, Presley Cain and Marla Cain.
