Bulldogs sack Charleston

CHARLESTON – Aljoshua Tillman needed to have a big game thisseason and Friday night he picked the perfect time to do it. The6-foot-5, 260-pound Franklin County defensive end/tight end stolethe show as he helped his FC Bulldogs beat Charleston 17-6 in abattle of Class 3A powerhouses. Tillman scored a touchdown fromboth positions in the win.

“I just did what I had to do,” said Tillman. “Our team playedhard all four quarters.”

The Bulldogs defense held Charleston to a mere 142 yards oftotal offense.

“It was a war,” said Bulldogs head coach Grady McCluskey.”Charleston has a very good team they gave us all we wanted.”

The Bulldogs (3-0) and ranked first in Class 3A, led Charleston10-6 for a majority of the game, until the final seconds whenTillman intercepted a Charleston pass and took it back 18-yards fora touchdown. That clinched FC its 15th straight victory, datingback to last season.
