Services for Roosevelt “Cooter Moot” Williams Sr., of Natchez,are 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at Taylor’s Chapel Baptist Church inFayette with burial in the church cemetery. Marshall Funeral Homeof Brookhaven is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Saturday from noon until time of service at thechurch.
Mr. Williams, 64, died Sept. 1, 2007, at his residence. He wasborn in Jefferson County on June 18, 1943, to Mary L. Williams andwas raised by his great-uncle James “Danke” Williams Sr.
He was a member of the Masons Mount Valley No. 6.
Preceding him in death was a sister, Margaree Brown.
Survivors are his wife, Charlotte Williams; two daughters,Jacqueline Williams and Angie Collins; four sons, Gregory Frye,Roosevelt Williams Jr., Anthony Williams and Terrance Williams;three sisters, Willie Rankin, Thelma Polk and Diane Williams; onebrother, James McCoy; and a host of nieces, nephews, otherrelatives and friends.
