Services for Lexie M. Case Tarver, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.Friday, June 29, at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive withburial in New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven.
Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home,and on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
Mrs. Tarver, 92, died June 26, 2007, at Brook Manor NursingCenter in Brookhaven. She was born in Lincoln County on Nov. 11,1914, to Thomas M. Case and Rose Lofton Case.
She was a seamstress with TG&Y and had worked withStahl-Urban. She was a homemaker. She was a member of New ProspectBaptist Church, where she was a hostess for Vacation Bible Schoolfor many years. She was a member of Woman’s Missionary Union (WMU)and her Sunday school class.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, CharlieQuitman Tarver; and her five brothers and one sister.
Survivors are her daughter, Diane Tarver Moak, of Brookhaven;her grandson, Charles Tracey Case, of Brookhaven; her specialfriends, Alanna M. Smith and Bernice Davis; and several nieces andnephews.
Pallbearers are Walley Tarver, Darren Case, David Peavey, ChrisSmith, Jimmy Case and Gene “Bub” Simmons.
Honorary pallbearers are Howard Case, Michael H. Smith, Dr. LeeNeal and Gretchen Neal.
