Services for Troy L. Lewis, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Wednesday, April 25, at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Avenuewith burial in Heuck’s Retreat Baptist Church Cemetery inBrookhaven. The officiating ministers are Dr. Ken Kirk, the Rev.Ken Parvin and Dr. Thad Owens Jr.
Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.
Mr. Lewis, 87, died April 22, 2007, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Lawrence County on Feb. 9, 1920, to AndyLewis and Lou White Lewis.
He was retired from the Mississippi Department of TransportationEngineering Department. He was a loving husband, father andgrandfather and a good gardener. He was a member of Heuck’s RetreatBaptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his daughter, LindaFaye Lowery; his grandson, Tracy Jackson; five brothers and threesisters.
Survivors are his wife, Fannie Lewis, of Brookhaven; his son,Billy Lewis and wife Judy, of Brookhaven; his daughter, LaVerneJackson and husband, Ross, of Brookhaven; his grandchildren, JimmyJackson and wife Lisa, Robbie Jackson and wife Dena, Keith Lewisand wife Bethany, Kim Dixon and husband Tommy, Tony Lowery and wifeTerri, Tina Smith and husband Tony, and Lance Lewis and wife Becky;his great-grandchildren, Rusti Wallace and husband Jason, JessicaDixon, Kirk Smith, Elizabeth Smith, Mackenzie Jackson, OliviaLewis, Brooke Lewis and Tyler Lowery; and his special fishingfriend, Thomas Welch, of Bogue Chitto.
Pallbearers are his grandsons, Keith Lewis, Robbie Jackson,Lance Lewis, Jimmy Jackson, Tony Lowery and Tommy Dixon.
Honorary pallbearers are Thomas Welch, Tony Smith, Pete Powersand Bill Beasley.
