Services for Louise Hadwin Curtis Smith, of Wesson, were 10 a.m.Wednesday, April 11, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel with burialin Highland City Cemetery in Hattiesburg at 2 p.m.

Mrs. Smith, 89, died April 9, 2007, at Brook Manor NursingCenter. She was born in Louisiana on Oct. 7, 1917, to WilliamAndrew Hadwin and Sally Lee Hadwin.

She was a homemaker and a retired hairdresser. She was a memberof First Baptist Church of Brookhaven. She was a member of theChristian Women’s Club of Brookhaven and Hattiesburg, and a memberof the Eastern Star.

Preceding her in death were her parents and her husbands,William Oscar “Pat” Bolling and Gaynel Curtis.

Survivors are her husband, Edward O. Smith, of Wesson; herdaughter, Janice Gay Quinnelly, of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; her sister,Maxine Cox, of Baton Rogue, La.; her grandchildren, KarenArrington, of Kosciusko, and Andy Quinnelly, of Sugarloaf Beach,Fla.; her great-grandchild, Caroline Arrington, of Kosciusko; herstepchildren, Jim Curtis, of Cedar Hill, Texas, Jean Curtis, ofPensacola, Fla., Edward O. Smith Jr., of Prairieville, La., andCynthia Matthews, of Mansfield, Texas; and her stepgrandchildren,Noel Curtis and Ben Curtis, both of Cedar Hill, Edward O. “Trey”Smith III and Chris Smith, both of Prairieville, and Amanda DareMatthews, Brady Matthews and Nicholas Matthews.
