BA blitzes CP Rebels

BAKER, La. — Kelli Snider scored 13 points and Drew HollandTigner netted 12 in leading the unbeaten Brookhaven Academy LadyCougars to a 58-37 Monday night win over the Central Private LadyRebels. Betsy Lynch chipped in 11 points and Kacy Rutland grabbed11 rebounds.

In the varsity boys game, T-Boy Lynch netted 18 points and CoryDickerson 11 as the Cougars beat Central Private 51-43.

The Lady Cougars (6-0), coached by Barry Gray,roared to a 39-24 halftime lead last night. Rutland had 6 steals inthe win. Hannah Watts added 6 rebounds. Katie Nettles and Tignereach had 3 assists.

The Lady Rebels were led by Sonni Kirkwood’s 13 points.

The Cougars (2-0), coached by Dale Watts, tooka 25-19 halftime lead.

Matt Creel’s 18 points paced the Rebels.

Junior High Action

In the junior high girls game, Anna Katelyn Mangold’s 8 pointsled the Lady Cougars to a 37-20 win. Six points were scored by AnnaLofton and Sara Beth Wilson. Addie Case had 4 points.

Terah Winborne had 3 assists and 3 steals in the victory.
