Betty Holloway

Services for Betty Holloway, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Thursday, Nov. 2, at Hopewell M.B. Church in Brookhaven with burialin the Hopewell Cemetery in Brookhaven. R.E. Tyler Funeral Home isin charge of arrangements.

Visitation is today from noon until 7 p.m. at the funeral home,with family present from 6 until 7 p.m.

Mrs. Holloway, 63, died Oct. 27, 2006, at Countrybrook LivingCenter. She was born on Sept. 3, 1943, to Gennie Holloway and AddieMae Cowart Holloway.

She was disabled. She was a member of Hopewell M.B. Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her sister, MaebelleHolloway Daniel; her brothers, Leo Holloway, Walter Holloway andR.D. Holloway; her sisters, Gussie Holloway and Elnora Montgomery;and one great-grandchild.

Survivors are her brothers, Buford Holloway, of Springfield,Mass.; her sisters, Ruby Nell Dixon, of Brookhaven, and LelaBryson, of Springfield; her four grandchildren and onegreat-grandchild.

Ira Arthur King Jr.

Services for Ira Arthur King Jr., of Fayette, are 2 p.m.Thursday, Nov. 2, at Brookhaven Funeral Home with burial in UnionChurch Cemetery in Jefferson County.

Visitation is today from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. King, 94, died Oct. 31, 2006, at Franklin County Hospital inMeadville. He was born in Jefferson County on Sept. 29, 1912, toIra Arthur King Sr. and Arie Lee Garrett King.

He was a retired farmer.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, MildredCovington King; a son, Sammy Lee King; and four sisters and onebrother.

Survivors are his son, Harold A. King, of Fayette; his daughter,Virginia K. Mitchell, of Fayette; his five grandchildren and onegreat-grandchild.

Patrick Leo ‘Pat’ Malone

Services for Patrick Leo “Pat” Malone, of Brookhaven, are 11a.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, at the chapel at Riverwood Family FuneralService with burial in Riverwood Memorial Park.

Visitation is today from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home, andon Thursday from 8 a.m. until the time of the service.

Mr. Malone, 61, died Oct. 31, 2006, in McComb. He was born onApril 8, 1945, to Francis Leo Malone and Alma Lee Allen Malone.

He was a 1963 graduate of Brookhaven High School and attendedCopiah-Lincoln Community College. He was a surveyor and was retiredfrom Shell Oil and Atmos Energy. An avid sportsman, he enjoyed theoutdoors and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, niecesand nephews, teaching them about hunting and fishing. He was aloyal NASCAR fan.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his daughter, CalaMalone; and his stepson, John McDonald.

Survivors are his wife, Linda McIntyre Malone; his stepsonDaniel McDonald and wife Athena, of Brookhaven; his daughters, LisaBeeson and husband Bobby, and Missy Smith and husband Kyrk, all ofBrookhaven; his brothers, Mike Malone, of Natchez, Mitch Malone, ofMeridian, and Mark Malone, of Brookhaven; his grandchildren, SawyerWallace, Shelby Wallace, Brandon Beeson, Logan McDonald, EmmaleighMcDonald, William McDonald, Brooklyn McDonald, all of Brookhaven,and Afton Linton, of Jackson; and his threegreat-grandchildren.
