A Ruth man lost his life early this morning in a one-vehicleaccident on Primitive Drive, authorities said.

Lincoln County Coroner Clay McMorris said Jimmy Randall WaldropJr., 28, of 1745 Evans Loop, Ruth, died at the scene as a result ofhis injuries.

“Apparently, he lost control and hit a tree,” McMorris said.

Waldrop was traveling on Primitive Drive in Ruth, which islocated in the southeast corner of Lincoln County, when he lostcontrol of his 1992 Chevrolet full-size truck and ran into a woodedarea. Citing discussions with family members, McMorris said hebelieved Waldrop was on his way home, which was located a few milesaway.

The emergency call was received by dispatch at 12:09 a.m. today,the coroner said. He pronounced Waldrop dead at the scene at 1:15a.m.
