Services for the Rev. Vernon Eugene “Gene” Anding, ofBrookhaven, are 2 p.m. Friday, March 3, at Brookhaven Funeral Homewith burial in Easthaven Cemetery in Brookhaven.

Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Anding, 56, died March 1, 2006 at Baptist Medical Center inJackson. He was born in Lincoln County on March 22, 1949, to VernonAnding and Winnie Maud Pennington Anding.

He was pastor of Souls’ Harbor Pentecostal Church. He was ownerof American Insurance Company of Brookhaven. He loved his family,friends and customers.

Preceding him in death was his mother.

Survivors are his father; his wife, Kathy June Ishee Anding, ofBrookhaven; and his dearest friend, Nell Bradford, ofBrookhaven.
