Robert H. Boling Jr.

Memorial services for Robert H. Boling Jr., of Alexandria, Va.,are Saturday, Feb. 4 at Everly-Wheatley funeral home. Dr. Bolingwas cremated, and separate ceremonies will accompany dispersal ofthe remains according to his final request.

Dr. Boling passed away at home surrounded by his family on Jan.20, 2006, in Alexandria. A native of Brookhaven, he was the son ofRobert H. Boling Sr. and Lola M. Boling, who both predeceasedhim.

Dr. Boling was a graduate of Brookhaven High School, receivedhis Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Universityof Mississippi, and his M.S. and Ph.D degrees from Michigan StateUniversity. He headed a research group at the Institute for DefenseAnalysis in Alexandria, Va. at the time of his death.

Survivors are his wife Anne; two sons, Robert H. Boling III, ofLas Vegas, Nev., and Fred C. Boling, of Bath, Mich.; a brother,John L. Boling, of Jacksonville, Fla.; and two grandchildren.

The family requests that any memorial contributions be directedto the Brookhaven Beautiful organization of Brookhaven, of whichhis late mother was an original founder.

Dorothy Childress Bowman

Services for Dorothy Childress Bowman, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.Thursday, Feb. 2 at Central Baptist Church with burial in MacedoniaBaptist Church Cemetery. Dr. Frank Rice and the Rev. Ryan Thurmanwill officiate services.

Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. at Riverwood Family FuneralService.

Mrs. Bowman, 63, died Jan. 30, 2006, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born on Sept. 4, 1942, to Travis Childress andJohnnie Griffin Childress.

She was a homemaker and member of Central Baptist Church. Shegraduated from Brookhaven High School in 1962.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors are her husband, Nolon Bowman; her sons, Greg Bowmanand his wife, Debbie, and Steve Bowman, all of Brookhaven; herdaughter, Cindy Townsend and her husband, Dwayne, of Brookhaven;her sister, Brenda Green and her husband, Ralph D., of Brookhaven;and two grandchildren, Allie Claire Townsend and Johnny LaneBowman, both of Brookhaven.

Pallbearers will be Larry Callendar, Ed Ahrend, Ricky Allen,Ronnie Day, Richard Panzica and David Upchurch.

Whitney Joseph Kramer Jr.

Whitney Joseph Kramer Jr., 64, a native of Houma, La., andresident of Wesson, died Jan. 30, 2006.

Services are 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 2 at Community FuneralServices with burial in Easthaven Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m.until 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Gloria LeBoeuf Kramer,of Wesson; one son, Christopher Kramer and his wife, ChristyJackson Kramer, of Brookhaven; one daughter, Katrina Kramer Caseand her husband Ladell “Dale” Case, of Wesson; one brother,Theodore “T.J” Kramer, of Houma; six sisters, Joy Kramer, PamelaKramer Quick, of Houma, Carolyn Kramer Lirette, of Monroe, La.,Merline Kramer Gemelli, of Wesson, Evelyn Kramer Callender, ofBrookhaven, and Cynthia Kramer Rogers, of Tylertown; and eightgrandchildren, Holly Case, Seth Case, Gabreile Case, Whitney Case,Isabella Case, Julie Kramer, Jeffrey Kramer and Jordan Kramer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Whitney Kramer Sr. andLouvinia Hebert Kramer; one son, Erik Kramer; and one brother,Nelson Kramer Sr.

He worked offshore for 45 years as a welder.

He was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church inBrookhaven for 34 years.

Eugene Kuhn

Services for Eugene Kuhn, of Lexington, Miss., are 2 p.m. today,Feb. 1 at Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington with burial inCoxburg Cemetery.

Mr. Kuhn, 77, died Jan. 30, 2006, at the University Hospital ofHolmes County. He was born in Yazoo County on Dec. 25, 1928, toS.A. Kuhn and Rosie Nell Burrell Kuhn.

He was a bridge builder for Spell Construction.

Survivors are his wife, Doris Chisolm Kuhn, of Lexington; hissons, Ricky Kuhn and his wife Gina, of Yazoo City, and Ron Kuhn andhis wife, Betty, of Brookhaven; his daughters, Susan Bonner and herhusband, Larry, of Pineville, La., Rose Scales and her husband,C.Ray, of Jackson, and Jodi Vaughn and her husband, Martin, ofJonesboro, Ark.; his brothers, Ross Kuhn, of Gofftown, N.H., andFred Kuhn, of Colonial Heights, Vt.; his sisters, Dorothy Burrell,of Yazoo City, and Sue Wilkerson, of Coldwater; 11 grandchildren;and nine great-grandchildren.

Stephanie Leigh West

Services for Stephanie Leigh West, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Thursday, Feb. 2 at Brookhaven Funeral Home with burial inPhiladelphia Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5 to 9 p.m. at funeral home.

Mrs. West, 29, died Jan. 28, 2006, at her residence. She wasborn in Jackson on Oct. 8, 1976, to Charles West and PatriciaMorrow Friend.

She was a sales representative. She was a member of PhiladelphiaBaptist Church.

Preceding her in death was her uncle, Steve Morrow.

Survivors are her mother Patricia Friend, of Brookhaven; herfather, Charles West, of Tennessee; her daughter, Kyra Suggs, ofTexas; her grandparents, Harlan and Louise Morrow, of Brookhaven;her brother, Steven Morrow, of Brookhaven; and her sister, MelindaKimble and her husband, Steven, of Wesson.
