Services for Allie Mae Bryant, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Saturday, Jan. 28 at Ebenezer A.M.E. Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 7 p.m., with family presentfrom 6 to 7 p.m. at R.E. Tyler Funeral Home.

Mrs. Bryant, 94, died Jan. 21, 2006, at her residence. She wasborn on June 30, 1911, to Charlie Short and Octavia Ferdinand.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Ebenezer A.M.E. Churchwhere she served as an usher and was a member of the MissionarySociety. She enjoyed gardening and ceramics.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, N.Z.Bryant; two brothers, Vercie and A.J. Kelly; two sisters, EmilyBanks and Necie Kelly; and two daughters, Henrietta “Dolly” Brownand Beatrice “Monk” Gills.

Survivors are her son, N.Z. Bryant Jr., of Jackson; herdaughters, Theola Robinson, Learline Bryant, both of Brookhaven,Christine Crossley, of San Francisco, Calif., and Earline Corey, ofPittsburgh, Calif.; her brothers, Sidney Kelly, of Pittsburgh,Calif., Jessie Kelly, of Ogden, Utah, and Willard Kelly, of Roy,Utah; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and twogreat-great-grandchildren.
