Connie Sherrill Boyd
Services for Connie Sherrill Boyd, of Ruth, are 11 a.m.Wednesday, Nov. 9 at Ruth Baptist Church with burial in the churchcemetery.
Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. at Riverwood Family FuneralService.
Mrs. Boyd, 59, died Nov. 7, 2005, at her residence. She was bornon Feb. 24, 1946, to Ralph Sherdon McCullough and Ida Mae HayneMcCullough.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Ruth BaptistChurch.
Preceding her in death were her parents; one half brother, E.G.Lawrence, of Chicago; two half sisters, Nirene Dunaway, of McComb,and Naomi Lawrence, of Chicago.
Survivors are her husband, Charles Cecil Boyd; her son, CecilGarrett Boyd, of Tupelo; her daughter, Veronica Sheryl Boyd, ofRuth; her brothers, Glen McCullough, of Bogue Chitto, HewittMcCullough, of Enon, and Arnold McCullough and Houston McCullough,both of Bogue Chitto; three grandchildren, Tyler Tanner and KarrissBoyd, of Tupelo.
Johnie L. Harris Sr.
Services for Johnie L. Harris Sr., of Monticello, were Saturday,Nov. 5 at Friendship Baptist Church in Monticello with burial inthe church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge ofarrangements.
Mr. Harris, 82, died Oct. 29, 2005, at the G.V. “Sonny”Montgomery Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was born on July 13,1923, to Carsie Henry and Beulah Tyrone Harris.
He was retired from Jacobsen Textron and as a self-employedcarpenter. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and servedas a deacon, trustee and superintendent of Sunday school.
Preceding him in death were his parents; one son; two brothers;and 11 sisters.
Survivors are his wife, Clotiel, of Monticello; two daughters,Dortha Lipscomb and Johnnie Mae Woodard, of Monticello; five sons,Douglas and Robert Harris, of Monticello, Johnie Lee Harris Jr., ofBranchville, S.C., Monroe Harris, of Chicago, and Thomas Harris, ofMaywood, Ill.; three sisters; 17 grandchildren; and 18great-grandchildren.
Royal Dale Hood
Services for Royal Dale Hood, of Dallas, are 10 a.m. Wednesday,Nov. 9 at Pinebluff Baptist Church in Dentville with burial inPinebluff Cemetery. Community Funeral Services is in charge ofarrangements.
Visitation is today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church.
Mr. Hood, 38, died Nov. 4, 2005, as the result of an automobileaccident in Irving, Texas. He was born on April 4, 1967, to CharlesLarry Hood Sr. and Earlene Puckett Hood.
He was a scheduling flight manager for Southwest Airlines inDallas. He was a member of Pinebluff Baptist Church.
Survivors are his parents, Charles Larry Hood Sr. and EarlinePuckett Hood, of Hoodtown; his sister, Lillian Hood Gaddy, ofHoodtown; his brother, Charles Larry Hood Jr., of Hoodtown; hisnieces and nephews, Lauren Whitney Hood, Ashley Nicole Hood,Matthew Ryan Gaddy, Dalton Alexander Gaddy and Chase Asher Gaddy,all of Hoodtown.
Conner Parsons
Services for Conner Parsons, of Chesapeake, Va., were 2 p.m.Monday, Oct. 31 at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Great Bridge Chapelin Chesapeake, Va., with burial in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Parsons, 82, died Oct. 28, 2005, in Chesapeake.
He was a native of Port Gibson. He was retired from NORSHIPCO asa crane operator.
Survivors are his two sons, Donald R. Parsons and Charles R.Parsons, both of Chesapeake; a daughter, Charlotte Epperly, ofSouth Mills, N.C.; a sister, Bessie Mae Martin, of Brookhaven;three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services for Mary Elizabeth Young, of Bogue Chitto, are 2 p.m.Wednesday, Nov. 9 at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel withburial in Bogue Chitto Cemetery.

Mrs. Young, 84, died Nov. 7, 2005, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born on March 21, 1921, to Benton M. Legg Sr. andMary Elizabeth McDonald.
She was retired from ICRR. She was a member of Mt. PleasantBaptist Church in Norfield. She was a member of the Eastern Starand a Pink Ladies Auxiliary member.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Cecil L.”Boo” Young; six brothers, Billy, Joel, Harold, Hurman, Charles andBud Legg; and a son-in-law, Johnie Robinson.
Survivors are her daughters, Dianne Robinson, of Bogue Chitto,and Karen Edwards and her husband, Mike, of Monticello; fourgrandchildren, Dana Rials, of Wesson, Jonna Albritton, of Zachary,La., Brandi Barrett, of Monticello, and Michale Edwards, ofMonticello; four great-grandchildren, Summer, Madison and Makenzie,all of Wesson, and Alli Grace Albritton, of Zachary.
