Services for the Rev. Thomas M. Dewitt Sr., of the Jayesscommunity, are 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3 at Providence Baptist Churchin Lawrence County with burial in the church cemetery. CommunityFuneral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is today beginning at 4 p.m. at the church.

The Rev. Dewitt, 55, died at Mississippi Baptist Medical Centerin Jackson. He was born on Jan. 28, 1950, to Roscoe Dewitt andDixie Hughley.

He was pastor of Sauls Valley Baptist Church in Monticello.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Diane Dewitt, of Jayess; his son, MikeDewitt, of Jayess; his daughter, Deidre Dewitt, of Jayess; hissister, Sonja Grayson, of Jayess; and numerous nieces andnephews.
