Services for Willis Eugene Calcote, of Pensacola, Fla., are 2p.m. Sunday, May 8 at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home withthe Rev. Al Butler and the Rev. Don Pouliot officiating.
Visitation is Sunday from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Calcote, 78, died May 4, 2005. He was born in McCall Creekon Nov. 15, 1926.
He grew up in McCall Creek, where he played baseball, wenthunting, fishing and farmed with his four brothers and two sisters.He was a taxi-cab driver. Mr. Calcote worked for Canon Shoes for 12years and he owned his own shoe business for 43 years in EscambiaCounty, Florida. He was a square dancer and president of Sea-SideSquares. He was an accomplished fisherman.
Survivors are his wife, Nola Patrick Calcote, of Pensacola; hisson, Anthony B. Calcote, of Pensacola; his daughter, Rhonda CalcoteBoutwell, of Pensacola; his granddaughter, Candace L. Miller, ofPensacola; his sisters, Faye Calcote Smith and Ann Calcote Smith,both of Brookhaven; his sister-in-law, Alice Holland Calcote, ofNatchez; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and otherrelatives.
