LIBERTY — A 4-run, fifth-inning rally lifted the Amite SchoolCenter Lady Rebels to a 7-5 Monday victory over the BrookhavenAcademy Lady Cougars in slowpitch softball action. Lindsey Nationswas the losing pitcher in the regular season finale.

At the plate, 2 doubles and 2 RBIs by Abby Williams pacedBrookhaven’s attack. Maddie Allen singled twice and doubled.Jessica Hart collected 3 singles.

Kristian Davidson singled twice for the Lady Cougars who tookowned a 4-2 lead in the top of the fifth. Emily Langley and AlexGrant doubled. Layne Jordan, Kelli Snider and Katie Watsonsingled.

Brookhaven Academy (9-4), coached by Ricky Allen, hosts the MPSAClass A-AA-AAA State Tournament this Saturday at the Hansel KingSportsplex.
