Services for Kirby LeAngelo Brooks of Brookhaven are 2 p.m.Saturday, Jan. 1 at Alexander Junior High school auditorium withburial in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Visitation is Friday from noon until 5 p.m. at Williams Mortuarywith family hour Saturday from 1-2 p.m. at the school.
Mr. Brooks, 32, died Dec. 27, 2004, in Hazlehurst. He was bornin Chicago, Ill., on May 22, 1972, to Kirby Matthews Sr. and JessieAnn Brooks Womack.
He was a forklift driver for Advance Auto Parts in Hazlehurst.He was a 1990 graduate of Brookhaven High School and a member ofSt. James M.B. Church.
Preceding him in death were his father; and his grandmother,Clara Brooks.
Survivors are his wife, Sonya Melvin Brooks of Brookhaven; hismother and stepfather, Jessie Ann Brooks Womack and Ray Womack, ofBrookhaven; his daughter, Shakyria Brooks of Brookhaven; his sons,Shamar Brooks, Jadahn Brooks, Orlando Wesley and Darrion Poole, allof Brookhaven; his sisters, Terria Green and her husband, Victor,of Brookhaven, Christi Brooks and her fiance, Jeramy, ofBrookhaven, Shonda Williams and her husband, Sean, of Brookhaven,Latoi Matthews, Tamesa Matthews, and Antoinette Matthews, all ofChicago; his brothers, Dwayne Cameron of Oakland, Calif., AllanMatthews, Mario Matthews and Kenyon Matthews, all of Chicago; hisgrandmother, Lela Matthews of Chicago; his grandfather, JessieJames Johnson of Picayune; and a host of nieces, nephews, otherrelatives and friends.
