Why attack our leaders?

Dear Editor:
Your front-page article (Monday, Aug. 2) concerning anallegation against beat two supervisor, Bobby Watts is greatlydisturbing. With so many do-nothing politicians in this country whowon’t do the job they are elected and paid to do, it seemsill-advised to attack one who has been the most conscientious,hard-working man elected in Beat Two in decades.
To see evil men face justice is a good thing; but to try todestroy one of the few honorable men still willing to serve inpolitics is an American tragedy. If attacks like this continue, there won’t be a decent man left who will voluntarily subjecthimself to this kind of junk.
For your information: my father lives in Beat Two, and I travelthe area frequently.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Judy Amos
