Services for Clara Alexander Rhodes of Jackson are 11 a.m.,Monday, June 21, at Progressive Missionary Baptist Church inJackson with burial in Mt. Zion Church Cemetery in Sontag. WilliamsMortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday from 3-5 p.m. at the funeral home, andMonday from 10-11 at the church.

Mrs. Rhodes, 75, died June 16, 2004, at her residence inJackson. She was born in Lawrence County on May 16, 1929, toCleveland Alexander and Isadora Alexander.

She was a retired food services worker at Jackson StateUniversity. She was a member of Progressive Missionary BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and a brother, OlaDavis.

Survivors are her daughter, Earnestine Kelly of Jackson; herson, Kenneth Rhodes of Jackson; her sisters and brothers-in-law,Dora A. and Jimmie Strong of Dewilder, Mich., Josephine A. andJames McGee of Glendale, Ill., Ethel A. and Eluster Ellis ofChicago, Ill., and Vonnie and Sim McGee of Terry; her brothers andsisters-in-law, Rochell and Clarice Alexander, and G.C. Alexanderof Chicago, Gene and Jessie Alexander of Sontag, and James andElosie Alexander of Jackson; eight grandchildren; and eightgreat-grandchildren.
