SUMMIT – Lauren Leigh Smith was named 2004-2005 Lincoln CountyJunior Miss Saturday night during the annual scholarship program atthe Southwest Mississippi Community College Fine ArtsAuditorium.

Smith is the daughter of Glyn and Tawanda Smith.

First alternate was Claire Cox. Lindy Lewis was named secondalternate and Kelli Byrd was third alternate.

Smith serves as Student Council Vice President at BrookhavenAcademy, where she is also a member of the National Honor Societyand a member of the State Champion Lady Cougar Basketball Team.

Smith was chosen for Who’s Who Among American High SchoolStudents and participates in the Big Brother/Big Sister Mentorprogram. She plans to attend Mississippi College and major inbroadcast journalism.

Fifteen young ladies are competed in the program, which wassponsored the Bank of Brookhaven.
