Man dies in wreck

PERRY COUNTY — A Brookhaven man was killed and three othersinjured Wednesday evening when their vehicle flipped and hit a pinetree.
Trent Killingsworth, 22, of Brookhaven, died at the scene of theaccident on Pumping Pack Line Road around 6:30 p.m., according toPerry County Coroner Jimmy Runnels.
“He was a passenger in the front seat, and there were threeother boys in the vehicle,” said Runnels.
The other occupants were Steven Chambers, Brad King and RandolphFalvey. They were taken to Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg,where their conditions were unavailable Thursday morning.
All four are Brookhaven residents and attend school atUniversity of Southern Mississippi, said Lincoln CountyCoroner-Medical Examiner Clay McMorris, who was an uncle toKillingsworth.
“Our county has faced a lot of tragedy recently and tragedy hashit again,” said McMorris. “Being coroner and seeing families haveto deal with tragedies, I know that God’s grace is efficient andHis love will pull our families and the community through this. Ourprayers are with these families.”
Runnels said the driver apparently lost control of the vehicleon the gravel road about 30 miles from Hattiesburg. The vehicleflipped several times before hitting a tree. No other informationwas available.
Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements, which wereincomplete Thursday morning.
