Services for Joe Allen Ashley of Brookhaven are 4 p.m.,Wednesday, Aug. 6, at New Sight Baptist Church with burial in NewSight Cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

Mr. Ashley, 60, died Aug. 4, 2003, at Mississippi BaptistMedical Center in Jackson. He was born in Wesson on Jan. 7, 1943,to L.D. Ashley and Vera Hamilton Ashley.

He was a salesman, and a member of New Sight Baptist Church,where he was an active deacon.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Gussie Ashley of Brookhaven; hisdaughter and son-in-law, Sherry Michelle Craft and husband, Alex,both of Decatur; his son and daughter-in-law, Michael “Mike” JoeAshley and wife, Cheryl, both of Brookhaven; his brother andsister-in-law, Randy and Sandy Ashley of Florence; hisgranddaughters, Brooke Ashley of Brookhaven, and Mackenzie NoelCraft of Decatur; and his nephews, Justin and Lee Ashley ofFlorence.
