Services for Ralph Loyd of Port Gibson were 10 a.m., Friday,April 18, 2003, at Pattison Baptist Church with burial in UnityBaptist Church Cemetery in Jefferson County.

Visitation was Thursday at the church.

Mr. Loyd, 83, died April 16, 2003 at Claiborne County NursingHome in Port Gibson. He was born in Pattison on Sept. 30, 1919, toWill Loyd and Lottie M. Harrel.

He was a retired parts manager. He was a member of PattisonBaptist Church. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Edith Kimble Loyd of Port Gibson; histwo sons, Larry Loyd of Port Gibson, and Lacy Loyd of St.Francisville, La., five grandchildren and twogreat-grandchildren.
