WESSON – The Loyd Star Black Team shot a 162 Wednesday and won atriangular golf match at the Wolf Hollow Golf Club. They were ledby match medalist Blake Windham who shot a 1-over-par 37 for 9holes.

Wesson was runner-up at 174 and the Loyd Star Red Team was thirdat 224.

Windham was supported by Chris Hester at 39, Dylan Britt andJosh Wright at 43 and Nick James at 56.

Leland Hinton led Wesson with a 40. Warren Hood shot 41, RyanBaker 46, Brandt Hood 47, and Brandon Brooks 57.

The Loyd Star Red Team was led by Andrew Bodin at 53. LindseyCase and Josh Applewhite both shot 55. Kelly Cooney shot 61.

Loyd Star, coached by Ricky Myers, resumes play Monday in theBogue Chitto Invitational, at the Brookhaven Country Club. The10-team, 18-hole tournament begins at 9 a.m.
