Services for J. B. Watson of Monticello are 11 a.m., Saturday,Aug. 17, at Friendship M.B. Church with burial in the churchcemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 7 p.m. with family hourfrom 6-7 p.m. at Williams Mortuary.

Mr. Watson, 76, died Aug. 10, 2002, at his residence. He wasborn in Lawrence County on Sept. 18, 1925, to Primos Watson andDella Watson.

He was retired. He was a member of Friendship M.B. Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his son, Selmon Watson;and his daughter, Jurdine Friend.

Survivors are his wife, Madie K. Watson of Monticello; his son,Larry Kelly of Gary, Ind., and Jessie B. Watson of Bossier City,La.; his daughters, Arleavy Watson, Nellie Cooper, JosephineGulley, and Yvonne Veal, all of Chicago, Daisy Magee of SilverCreek, Loretta Moore and Victoria Hudson, both of Monticello,Bonnie Brown and Lisa Jackson, both of Jackson, Veronica Beasley ofDouglasville, Ga., and Clarissa Watson of Hattiesburg; hisbrothers, Ivory Watson of Tutwiler, P. W. Watson of Hattiesburg,Emanuel Watson of Sontag, and Ollie Watson of Monticello; hissisters, Josie Mae Cligler of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Darlene Jenkinsand Aline Tyler, both of Sontag; and 26 grandchildren, eightgreat-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
