Services for Grover Cleveland Jackson of Wesson are 11 a.m.,Wednesday, August 7, at Strong Hope Baptist Church with burial inStrong Hope Cemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5-8 p.m., at Stringer Funeral Home inHazlehurst, and Wednesday from 10-11 a.m., at the church.

Mr. Jackson, 83, died Aug. 4, 2002 at V.A. Medical Center inJackson.

He was retired from International Paper in Natchez. He was amember of Strong Hope Baptist Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars andAmerican Legion. He was a World War II army veteran with Company A106 Engineers.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Julius Everette andLillie Jackson; and sisters, Althea Jackson and EssieWhittington.

Survivors are his wife, Myrtle F. Jackson of Wesson; his sonsand daughters-in-law, Grover Lynn and Marcia Jackson of Ethel, La.,and Gary Wayne and Gwen Jackson of Wesson; his daughters andsons-in-law, Henrietta and Bob Weisinger of Wesson, and Janice andHorace Sumrall of Monterey, La.; his brother, Milford Jackson ofLiberty; his sisters, Edith Walker of Pearl River, La., BettyDelvisco and Alberta Thompson, both of McComb, Helen Huff ofGloster, Hilda Raye Thornton of Meadville, and Milfred Jackson,Mildred Gill and Anna Laura Jackson, all of Liberty; and eightgrandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
