Services for Alberta Smith Brown of Brookhaven, and formerly ofNew Orleans, are 2 p.m., Saturday, July 13, at Siloam M.B. Churchwith burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 5 p.m. at WilliamsMortuary.

Mrs. Brown, 80, died July 8, 2002, at Countrybrook LivingCenter. She was born in New Roads, La., on Nov. 19, 1921, to BillSmith and Estella Smith.

She was retired. She was a member of Siloam M.B. Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, JosephBrown; her sons, Leonard Brown and Bernard Brown; her brothers,Albert Smith, Theolopilis Smith, Billy Smith, Richard Smith, ClaySmith, and Italy Smith; and her sisters, Hattie Smith and MarySmith.

Survivors are her brother, Robert Lee “Buck” Smith ofBrookhaven; her sister, Edna Woods of Brookhaven; and sixgrandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives andfriends.
