Services for Nellie Mae Marble Markle of St. Augustine, Fla.,were May 11 in St. Augustine. Visitation and graveside serviceswere held May 13 at Pine Bluff Cemetery in Dentville, Miss.Stringer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Markle, 83, died May 8, 2002, in St. Augustine. She was anative of the Jack Community and graduated from Crystal SpringsHigh School.

She retired after 25 years service with the St. John CountySchool Systems in St. Augustine. The last 18 years were with theDeaf and Blind School.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Drayton Earl Markle;and her parents, Fred Jackson and Mary Hood Strong Marble.

Survivors are her children, Jane Hawkins of Jacksonville, Fla.,Drayton Earl Markle Jr. of American Fork, Utah, June Markle ofBridgeport, Conn., and Edward William Markle of St. Augustine,Fla.; her siblings, Mary Louise Kimble of Wesson, Carmen Lewis ofTerry, and Hugh H. Marble of Odessa, Texas; and 10 grandchildrenand five great-grandchildren.
