Services for Edgar Hugh “Pete” Gordon of Summit are 2 p.m.,Wednesday, May 1, at Hartman Funeral Home in McComb with burial inParker Family Cemetery in Amite County.

Mr. Gordon, 64, died April 29, 2002, at his residence. He wasborn in Liberty on April 24, 1938, to Moyse and Maud GardnerGordon.

He was retired from Mabry Lumber Company in Liberty. He was amember of First Baptist Church of Summit. He was an Armyveteran.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his siblings, RuthTolar, Dorothy Hess, Carroll Gordon, and Ruby Steele.

Survivors are his wife, Lindy Bibby Gordon of Summit; his sonand daughter-in-law, Preston and Kim Gordon of Summit; hisdaughters and sons-in-law, Alice and Steve Travis of Zachary, La.,Susan and Mike Greer of Bogue Chitto, Melissa Gordon ofHattiesburg, and Rachel and Darren Hunt of Denham Springs, La.; hisbrother, Billy Gordon of Liberty; his sisters, Elizabeth Hunt ofZachary and Demaris Rollins of Gloster; and his grandchildren, GageGordon, Macy Gordon, Wyatt Hunt, Drew Hunt, and Aiden Greer.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Summit, BuildingFund.

Pallbearers are Jim Steele, Aubry Blalock, Ricky Myers, DavidGordon, Randy Greer, Carlos Spring, Bobby Louis Dixon, and DwayneBrown. Honorary pallbearers are Liberty High School Class of 1956and the Dale Watts Sunday School Class.

Ministers conducting the services will be Dr. Jerry Smith andBrother Darby Combs.
