Services for Karis Eugenia Thornton of Jackson are 11 a.m.,Monday, March 11, at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Ridgelandwith burial in Parkway Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation is Sunday, March 10 from 2-5 p.m. and Monday from9:30 until services at the funeral home.

Mrs. Thornton, 21, died Friday, March 8, 2002 in Flowood.

She was a student and worked part-time at Applebee’s Restaurant.She was a native of Jackson. She grew up in Brookhaven and attendedBrookhaven Academy, Madison/Ridgeland Academy and graduated formNorthwest Rankin High School. She attended Lakeside PresbyterianChurch in Brandon.

Survivors are her mother Virgie Thornton Eastwood of Flowood;her father and step-mother, Mickey and Jo Ann Thornton of Brandon;her sisters, Dienna Thornton Moak and Heather Thornton Smith, bothof Brookhaven; her brothers Ryan Brent Montgomery of Augusta, Ga.;her step-sister, Jodi Boyd of Brandon; her maternal grandmotherEugenia Jones White of Jackson; and a number of nieces, nephews,aunts and uncles.
