Services for James L. White of Brookhaven are 1 p.m., Wednesday,Feb. 20, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel with burial in EasthavenCemetery.

Mr. White, 81, died Feb. 18, 2002, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Lee County on Jan. 8, 1921, to James MartinWhite and Jessie Irving White.

He was retired from Corpus Christi Army Depot.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Anna BellBlades; and his sisters, Louise Williams and Inez Bowden.

Survivors are his sons, James Otis White, Kenneth Doc White, andRobert N. White, all of Brookhaven, Melvin E. White of Woodstock,Ga., Harvey L. White of Prattville, Ala., Ollie L. White ofMonticello, Steven R. White of Jayess, and Cecil L. White of CorpusChristi, Texas; his daughters, Lorraine Johnson and Mary House,both of Brookhaven; his brothers, Charles Homer White of Mobile,Earl White Sr. of Cleveland, and Carroll White of Greenville; and28 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
