Services for Malcolm Wallace of Natchez are 11 a.m., Saturday,Sept. 15, at Parkway Baptist Church with burial in GreenlawnMemorial Park.

Visitation is today from 5-8 p.m. at Laird Funeral Home UnionStreet Chapel and Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until servicetime.

Mr. Wallace, 69, died Sept. 12, 2001, of heart failure at RiverOaks Hospital in Jackson. He was born in Lincoln County on March 4,1932, to Mae Lofton Wallace and George W. Wallace.

He was retired from International Paper Company with 42 yearsservice. He was a member of Parkway Baptist Church. He was an Armyveteran of the Korean Conflict. He worked with Dixie Youth Baseballfor 34 years as umpire, manager, and member of the board ofdirectors. The Wallace League was named in his honor. He also was areferee of high school and college baseball, basketball, and highschool football for over 30 years. He was a member of theMississippi High School Activities Association. He was an avidhunter and fisherman.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his twin brother,Maxie Wallace.

Survivors are his wife, Annalo Nations Wallace of Natchez; hisson, Dr. Mickey P. Wallace of Jackson; and four grandsons, anephew, and two nieces.
