Services for George Ray Thornhill of Brookhaven are 2 p.m.,Wednesday, Aug. 22, at Fair River Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.

Visitation is today from 4-10 p.m. at Harrigill FuneralHome.

Mr. Thornhill, 75, died Aug. 20, 2001, at St. Dominic’s Hospitalin Jackson. He was born in Lincoln County on March 28, 1926, toJonas Ervin Thornhill and Abye Boyd Thornhill.

He was a retired mechanic. He was an avid hunter. He was amember of Fair River Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Juanita Lewis Thornhill of Brookhaven;his daughters and sons-in-law, Lavon Thornhill White and Ben White,and Marilyn Thornhill Welch and Billy Welch, all of Brookhaven; hissister, Terah Lewis Albritton of Brookhaven; his grandchildren,Jamie White, Robin White Smith, Tonia Welch Price, and TheresaWelch Wells; and 10 great-grandchildren.
