Mr. Allen, 79, died July 14, 2001, at the V.A. Nursing Home inCollins. He was born in Brookhaven on July 15, 1921, to Edgar S.Allen Sr. and Annie Eugenia Foster Allen.

He was a cattleman. He was a member of Union Hall BaptistChurch. He was an Army veteran of WWII.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his wife, AnnElizabeth Allen.

He is survived by his brother, Gene Allen of Brookhaven.
