Seniors Chase Coley of Loyd Star, Nathan Cutrer of Bogue Chittoand Cole Zumbro of Franklin County will play for the South in theMississippi Association of Coaches 1A-2A-3A All-Star Baseball Game.Selected as an alternate was Johnathon Cutrer of Bogue Chitto.
Representing North Pike on the team are Michael Clements andBuddy Van Norman.
The North vs. South 1A-2A-3A All-Star game will be played onSaturday, June 9, at 5 p.m. at Pete Taylor Park on the campus ofSouthern Mississippi. The contest is scheduled for 9 innings.
Outfielcer Fred Perkins of Brookhvaen will play for the South inthe Class 4A-5A All-Star Game at 7 p.m.
Coaches for the South 1A-2A-3A All-Stars are Mike Hodges ofBogue Chitto and Mark Fanning of St. Andrew’s. The players andcoaches will report on Wednesday, June 6, at 9 a.m. to SouthernMiss. Practices will be held through Saturday.
Also selected on the South 1A-2A-3A All-Star team are JakeNester and Craig Martin of Lake; Mark David Howard and BuddyPellegrino of Mercy Cross; Michael Pilgrim, Morton; Chris Stewart,Purvis; Clay Simmons, Jim Henegan, Sherwood Collette and JeffTomlinson of St. Andrews; Jason Graham of West Marion; ToddDoolittle and Brad McKee of West Lauderdale.
Jared Harris of Poplarville was chosen as an alternate.
