WESSON — A head-on collision around 2 p.m. Sunday on SylvarenaRoad left four people with serious injuries, according toauthorities.

The driver of one vehicle, Amanda O’Neil, 21, of 2034 LoweryRoad, and her two passengers, Sara Strickland, 17, of 8183Beauregard Road and John Price, 16, of 1035 Miller Lane, were takento Hardy Wilson Memorial Hospital immediately following theaccident.

Casey Burrell, age and address unavailable, the driver of theother vehicle, was also taken to Hardy Wilson.

Hospital officials reported the four victims being taken toUniversity Medical Center in Jackson, but UMC officials only had arecord of Strickland, who was listed in stable condition Mondaymorning.

The accident, which is still under investigation, occurred abouta mile and a half west of Interstate 55, said Copiah CountySheriff’s Deputy Andrea Davis.
