Services for Walter G. Cox of Monticello are 2 p.m., Saturday,May 12, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in MonticelloPentecostal Church Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Cox, 73, died May 10, 2001, at his residence. He was born inLawrence County on April 16, 1928, to Walter Cox and CharoletteCox.

He was retired from pipe line construction. He was a member ofthe Pentecostal faith. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Preceding him in death were his parents, two brothers, and adaughter.

Survivors are his wife, Jewel Russell Cox of Monticello; hisson, Dale Cox of Monticello; his daughter, Grace Applewhite ofMadison; his brother, Charles Cox of Bossier City, La.; his sister,Mary Garrett of New Albany; and four grandchildren.
