Services for Learlean Leggett Holmes of Bogue Chitto are 2 p.m.,Saturday, April 28, at New Zion Union M. B. Church with burial inNew Zion Union-Norfield Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 6 p.m. at WilliamsMortuary.

Mrs. Holmes, 77, died April 20, 2001, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. She was born in Lincoln County on Oct. 2, 1923, toCharlie Leggett and Veelee Ratcliff Leggett.

She was a retired cook. She was a member of New Zion Union M. B.Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; and hersiblings, Robert Dorsey, Lynell Smith, and Walter Leggett.

Survivors are her daughter, Alberta Holmes of Bogue Chitto; hersons, Adolph Holmes of Bogue Chitto, Charles Ray Holmes of Tupelo,and Jerry Holmes of Nashville, Tenn.; her sisters, Aline Johnson ofChicago, and Jessie Mae Blackwell of Springfield, Mass.; and threegrandchildren.
