Loyd Star and North Pike split a pair of Monday night games injunior high basketball action.

The Lady Hornets dropped a pair, losing the 7thgrade game 21-7 and the 8th grade game 43-34 to the LadyJaguars.

Loyd Star’s Mindy Morse scored all 7 points in the 7th gradegame while Jordan Britt led the 8th grade girls with 12 points andBrittany Henderson added 8.

In boys action, the junior high Hornets took both gamesfrom the Jaguars, winning 38-24 in the 7th grade game behind TylerWilliford with 17 and Justin Smith’s 10 points, and 45-37 behindDewayne Branning’s 13 and Josh Townsend’s 10 in the 8th gradegame.

The junior high Hornets will see action Thursday nightin the finals of the Lincoln County Tourney at West Lincoln. Gametime will be at 6:30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.
