Services for Jessie V. Kirkley Sr. of Prentiss are 3 p.m.,Thursday, Aug. 31, at Saulters-Moore Funeral Home with burial inKing Cemetery near Prentiss.

Visitation is 1-3 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Kirkley, 79, died Aug. 30, 2000, of cancer at hisresidence.

He was a retired mechanic. He was a member of Prentiss ApostolicChurch.

Survivors are his wife, Cecil Kirkley of Prentiss; his sons, J.V. Kirkley of Silver Creek and Jerry Kirkley of Brandon; hissisters, Carolyn Craft of Waterproof, La., and Lois Gilbert ofEureka, Calif.; his brothers, John Wesley Kirkley and Bill Foster,both of Carson; and seven grandchildren and sixgreat-grandchildren.
