West Lincoln took batting practice Monday night and whipped theSalem Lady Wildcats 18-0 in slowpitch softball action.
West Lincoln took batting practice Monday night and whipped theSalem Lady Wildcats 18-0 in slowpitch softball action. West Lincolnimproved to 3-2 overall and 1-0 in Division 7-1A. The Lady Bearsresume play Thursday at Enterprise, starting at 5 p.m., with ajunior varsity game.
“We hit the ball real well,” said West Lincoln coach Andrew Reddafter watching his team collect 18 hits. “We had two players whodid a real good job.”
West Lincoln third baseman Jennifer Richardson hit two homersand collected 8 RBIs. Second baseman Lauren Smith singled andtripled.
Lyndsey Franklin had 3 hits for West Lincoln. Amber Delaunetripled. Hanna Roberts, Chasity Avants and Dana King had 2 hits.Lacey Cain, Rebecca Wallace, Christy Lindigrin and Holli Basssingled.
Lindigrin was the winning pitcher. She struck out 3 batters andwalked 3.
Salem got single hits from Anna Pigott, Pam Martin and RobinMcEwen.
In the JV game, West Lincoln beat Salem 8-0. ChasityAvants was the winning pitcher, with relief help from HannahRoberts. They allowed only one hit.
Three singles by left-centerfielder Lacey Cain led WestLincoln in batting.
