Lina Mae Brister
Services for Lina Mae Brister of Bogue Chitto are 10 a.m.,Wednesday, July 26, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel with burial inPleasant Hill Cemetery.
Visitation is Tuesday, July 25, from 4-10 p.m. at HarrigillFuneral Home.
Mrs. Brister, 80, died July 23, 2000, at St. Dominic’s Hospital.She was born in London Community, Texas, on Jan. 18, 1920, toMarvin Denon Carlisle and Della Smith Carlisle.
She was a retired sales clerk for Woolworth. She was a member ofBogue Chitto Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, HaroldBrister.
Survivors are her daughter, Della Savage of San Antonio, Texas;her brothers, J. D. Carlisle of Pleasanton, Texas, and KennethCarlisle of Crystal Lake, Ill.; her sisters, Montee McEwen of BogueChitto, and Barbara Rutledge and Theda Brister, both of Brookhaven;and her grandchildren, Kimberly Wallace of Port Arthur, Texas, andKarin Wallace and Kelly Wallace, both of Hoboken, N.J.
William Wilson Odom
Services for William Wilson Odom of Georgetown are 2 p.m.,Tuesday, July 25, at Stringer Funeral Home with burial in GalileeCemetery.
Visitation is Monday, July 24, from 6-9 p.m. at the funeralhome.
Mr. Odom, 82, died July 23, 2000, of heart failure atHardy-Wilson Memorial Hospital.
He was a farmer. He was a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors are his wife, Jewel Odom; his son, Tommy Odom ofGeorgetown; his daughters, Judy Lowery of Georgetown and SallyCalhoun of Hazlehurst; his brothers, John Odom and Cleveland Odom,both of Hazlehurst; and Kenneth Odom of Brookhaven; his sisters,Eunice Mullings of Strong Hope, Vera Mae Beazley of Buna, Texas,and Elzie Miller of Evening Shade, Ark.; and six grandchildren anda great-grandchild.

Services for James Clyde Thompson of Shreveport, La., areincomplete. Mr. Thompson died July 23, 2000, at the V.A. Hospitalin Shreveport. Harrigill Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.
