Services for Una Mae Andrews DeAbate of New Orleans are 2 p.m.,Saturday, July 22, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial inMonticello Municipal Cemetery.
Visitation is Saturday, July 22, from 11 a.m. until service timeat the funeral home.
Mrs. DeAbate, 87, died July 18, 2000, at St. Charles GeneralHospital. She was born in Walthall County on Feb. 16, 1912, toWilliam Howard and Letha Mae Conn Andrews.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church inNew Orleans.
Preceding her in death were her parents, and her husband, CarlAnthony DeAbate.
Survivors are her son, Dr. Carl Andrew DeAbate of New Orleans;her daughter, Nancy J. DeAbate of Mandeville, La.; her sisters,Rema Smith of Brookhaven and Dorothy Steele of Provo, Utah; and 10grandchildren, and a number of great-grandchildren, nieces andnephews.
Frances Elaine Sullivan Laird
Services for Frances Elaine Sullivan Laird of Brookhaven are 11a.m., Saturday, July 22, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel withburial in Easthaven Cemetery.
Visitation is Friday, July 21, from 5-10 p.m. at BrookhavenFuneral Home.
Mrs. Laird, 63, died July 21, 2000, of heart failure at herresidence. She was born in Smith County on April 5, 1937, to GlenSullivan and Velma Craft Sullivan.
She was disabled and had been a certified nursing assistant. Shewas a member of Southway Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Survivors are her son, Ricky Laird of Brookhaven; her daughtersand son-in-law, Cindy and Phil Hall and Lisa Givens, all ofBrookhaven; her grandchildren, Tonya Nations, Misty Lane Freeman,Robbie Laird, Monica Givens, Cassie Givens, Hope Givens, Wade Hall,and Todd Hall; and five great-grandchildren.
Marjorie M. Leggett
Memorial services for Marjorie M. Leggett of Brookhaven are 6:30p.m., Sunday, July 23, at Brookway Church of Christ. BrookhavenFuneral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Leggett, 69, died July 20, 2000, at Beverly Healthcare. Shewas born in Fauls, La., on April 18, 1931, to Cleveland Wallace andMarie Leonard Wallace.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church ofChrist.
Preceding her in death were her father, Cleveland Wallace; andher brothers, Dewey Wallace and Carl Wallace.
Survivors are her husband, Rayford Leggett of Brookhaven; hersons, Rayford D. Leggett of Norwalk, Calif., Raymond D. Leggett ofLexington Park, Md., Robert D. Leggett of Sutherlin, Ore., andMichael D. Leggett of Brookhaven; her daughter, Shirley DiannLeggett of Brookhaven; her mother, Marie Wallace of Bogue Chitto;her brother, Robert Wallace of Bogue Chitto; and nine grandchildrenand seven great-grandchildren.
